Long Beach Transit takes you directly from downtown Long Beach to some of the most captivating and historic arts, architecture, and scenic outdoor venues in Southern California. And, for the first time ever, Museum Express is expanding its service to the Morongo Casino.

Museum Express buses run every Friday-Sunday from July 6 to August 26. Buses depart at 9am* from the corner of First Street and Pine Avenue in Downtown Long Beach and leave the destination for the return trip at 4pm.

*Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure in both directions.
**Exceptions are MOCA/Broad 7/29, Norton Simon Museum 8/3, the Hammer Museum 8/5, and the Getty Center 8/11 (depart at 10am)

Please note: Trips subject to cancellation. Customers will be issued refunds for cancelled trips or given the option to book on another trip.


$12 roundtrip for most destinations

*Museum Express tickets valid for bus trip only. Venue tickets must be obtained separately.

Token Transit

If you would like to pay cash for your ticket, please visit the Transit Visitor and Information Center (First St. & Pine). You will still need to download the Token Transit app. Please visit tokentransit.com/app to download on your smart phone or search for Token Transit in the app store.

1. Download

The Token Transit app on your mobile device. We encourage you to download the app ahead of your trip to ensure a speedy boarding process.

2. Choose

Long Beach Transit as your agency. If you are in LBT's service area and your phone’s GPS is on, LBT will automatically be selected as your agency.

3. Select

Museum Express as your rider type.

4. Select

your fare type and choose the date / location of the event you’d like to attend.

5. Enter

your credit card information to purchase and store your ticket.

6. Go !

Activate your ticket from your stored passes and show it to the Museum Express operator, then hop on board!

*Make sure you do not activate your ticket until you are ready to board
